I am waiting on the Thursday night seminar to start. My daughter is going to the midnight showing of the new Twilight movie. She is so excited. I am worried about her driving home so late.
I put sweet potatoes in the oven before I left. I hope they do not burn!
My other daughter is in med school, and she is sick right now with a sinus infection. It does not matter how old you are-your mom still wants to take care of you.
Have a good night.

  1. That Twilight thing is sure a big deal. I haven't read the books or anything. I have boys so I don't hear about Robert Pattinson - in fact I just figured out who he was.

  2. I am way to nervous to leave the oven on when I leave the house.

Knowing my luck, I'd burn the house down! : )

  3. I haven't read any of the twilight books either. There were a few girls at my work place who were counting down the days until the movie "new moon" came out...

  4. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I'm cooking the bird today. I hope it tastes as good as it smells right now. As of your post on the 19th, isn't it wonderful that no matter how old your babies are, they still need you when they don't feel well. I love that!

  5. I read the books after my daughters and co-workers talked about them all of the time. I had to see what I was missing. They are good but not what I thought they would be.
It is nice to still feel needed.
I am worn out from the holidays, and I think I
have gained five pounds, but it was great to be with everyone. My football team got beat today, but there is always next year!

  6. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I had an interesting night last night: shopping, a great dinner at the Varsity Grill, and picking out pecans, and finishing a book.
This morning I am cleaning house.
I am working tonight. I have a part-time thing with a caterer friend. If she has a big affair, she will call me to come in and help set up and clean up. It is hard work but the extra cash is nice.
I wish we had spell check! It is hard for an English teacher to relax and not worry about all of the rules.
    Have a great night.

  7. Hi Wanda,
Yes, I do quilt. And a million other things too. I love to craft. I miss doing that so much since I started school. I only use my sewing machine for mending and things like that now. I just want to keep my grades up so I can work right away when I graduate. I have a big bill to pay back.
Thank you Wanda, I would love to see your moms quilts. My last teachers mom quilted too. In fact, I did my final last term, survey of mathematics, on how geometry is used in making the quilt block pattern for the quilt.
    Thanks,
    Lara
